Reduction of the labia minor
Labiaplasty, or reduction of the labia, is an operation carried out under local anaesthesia or local combined with short-term intravenous anaesthesia. The consequences of this treatment may lead to a deterioration in state of mind, and equally to the occurrence of irritation or lack of sexual satisfaction. The treatment involves removal of excessive labia minora tissue and their suturing at the border of the labia minora and labia majora, leaving almost no scarring. Dissolvable sutures are used.
