Flattening of protruding ears
The aim of this operation is to reduce the distance of the earlobes to the head. It is carried out with local anaesthetic, with the exception of children above the age of 7 under general anaesthesia. Repositioning of the ears works by cutting a strip of skin on the rear surface of the ear, making an incision in the earlobe cartilage, making an appropriate cut in it and inserting a special suture to remodel the ear. After the operation it is necessary to sleep wearing a head band for 1 month.
